Nature-Activity Activity

Thanks to our Partnership with Parks Canada, La Navette Nature has been invited to the Grand Re-opening of Fort Lennox after 5 years of restauration!

Head to Île aux Noix, on the Richelieu River in the Montérégie region, to discover the impressive Fort Lennox, built between 1819 and 1829, which has reopened after five years of closure for restoration and preservation operations. After a short boat ride, enter the heart of the fortification to visit several buildings, including the iconic Soldiers' Barracks and its new exhibit Passages, experiences of this island. Then go up to the dormitory to learn more about the living habits of the soldiers and their families, and watch interpretation sessions with Parks Canada guides. Discover the great history of the small Île aux Noix, which is also home to a varied ecosystem and large green spaces, perfect for a stroll, bird watching or a gourmet picnic on the grass. Plan to bring your lunch, as there is no on-site food service.
