En mai 1855, Louis-Joseph Papineau baptise son domaine «MonteBello» et, en 1878, la municipalité est officiellement fondée. L’esprit de la famille Papineau règne toujours au Manoir, à la Chapelle funéraire et dans le village où l’histoire s’est si bien conservée. Durant la blanche saison, tirez le meilleur de l’hiver et profitez d’une foule d’activités plein air amusantes qui feront le bonheur des petits et des grands. De plus, profitez d'une petite balade sur la rue principale où les petites boutiques, restaurants et gîtes sauront vous charmer.

Thanks to our Partnership with Tourisme Outaouais, La Navette Nature has been invited to discover the westside of Québec's Nature!

In May 1855, Louis-Joseph Papineau named his property “MonteBello,” and in 1878, the town was officially founded. The spirit of the Papineau family can still be felt at the Manor, in the family burial chapel and in the village, where history has been well preserved. During these snow-covered months, make the most of winter and enjoy a whole gamut of fun outdoor activities that are delightful for all ages. You can also enjoy a walk on the main street where the small boutiques, the restaurants and the holiday cottage will charm you.
