Why travel with NANA?

There are several answers to this question! The main one is that we are the only transportation service to natural spaces in Quebec, which leaves you free to do what you want once there! This means that our passengers do various activities during the day: We have expert and novice hikers, passionate about birds, biking or canoeing, whatever you like! Outdoor lovers, all activities combined, will find their account.

Can I travel with my toddler?

School buses are extremely safe. On the other hand, Transport Canada recommends not to travel on board with a child of 2 years and less / less than 18 KG, who cannot sit alone on the bench. It is not forbidden by us or by law to travel with toddlers, but if you want to do so we must make you sign a liability waiver and send you information about the seats. Where is the departure point?

Our starting point is located at the central bus station located at 1717 rue Berri, it's very close to Berri-UQAM metro station (more or less 7 minutes from there!). 24h before the departure, we will send you the platform number by email.

Why did you choose to operate with school buses, if their comfort is limited?

Those who have already used them know: School buses are unfortunately not the most comfortable ones on the market. They are however the cheapest option to offer to our customers and they are very, VERY safe (They are made to transport children, after all!). Also, we chose to use those buses as there is an infinite number of them available on the days of outings (there is no school on week-ends, nothing new here!), so we prefer using existing ressources than put a new vehicule on the road!

Are departures guaranteed?

They aren't, but we rarely cancel outings. Force majeure events beyond our control have already forced us to cancel outings (SÉPAQ strike, COVID-19 pandemic), and we have sometimes canceled outings due to very heavy rain or snowstorms. The goal is for you to have a pleasant day in the park!

What can I do when I get to the park?

The activity offers are similar for the national parks. In general, you can hike, swim, rent equipment such as canoes, pedalos, bikes, SUP boards or kayaks, you can observe the flora and fauna of Quebec and of course , you can take the time to take your time ... and relax in the extraordinary atmosphere of our Quebec parks!

Why are dogs prohibited on board, if they are allowed in national parks?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on board the shuttle. Don't get me wrong, we love them and we know very well that your dog is the best animal in the world! However, we do not know how OTHERS dogs will react in the presence of yours, nor do we know if the other passengers are allergic or afraid. In addition, unfortunately our carrier does not allow dogs on buses, since drivers have been forced to clean up '' damage '' in the past.

What do I do if I am not sure which is the right bus on the day of departure?

We always volunteer staff on site to help people find their way around and find the right shuttle. Do not hesitate to ask! We have garments identified as "NANA". If you want to call us to be sure, our toll free number is 1-866-857-6262.

What if I have to go to the bathroom?

There is a toilet at our point of departure in the central bus station, as well as one at the point of arrival. Do not panic! If you have to go during the trip, let our volunteer on board know. They will speak to the driver and we will do our best to find a place for you to go! Pro tip: Avoid coffee before departure, it makes a world of difference !!

What if I miss the return shuttle?

It is your responsibility to arrive on time to board the shuttle back to Montréal. We are not responsible for planning your return trip to town if you miss the departure. We will try to reach you if we see that you do not show up in time for the return, but we cannot wait until later than the scheduled time. Pro tip: try to arrive 15 minutes early at the point given for your return to town!

Do we have to print our ticket?

There is no need to print your ticket. Just make sure you have proof on your phone, the PDF ticket for example.

What can we bring for the outing?

Stroller

Inflatable board or kayak

Big hiking bag

Tent (if not too large)

Cross country skis

Snowshoes

Small sledge

Can we bring our bike?

Our buses are not suitable for storing bikes. However, you can rent them in certain parks.

Are our transport accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Unfortunately, the school buses we use are standard and therefore do not have the necessary elevator to accommodate people with reduced mobility. However, if you are able to climb the stairs to sit on the bus, we may be able to fit your wheelchair into the trunks under the bus.
